Authorized Research Hours(required)

Research Terms & Disclosures

Nature of Research: Genealogy is an investigative process. Due to the nature of historical record preservation, it is impossible to predict the exact time required to locate specific information or to guarantee that a specific record exists.

Results: Fees are billed for the professional time spent searching and analyzing records. While every effort is made to reach a successful conclusion, “negative results” (confirming that an event is not in a specific record set) are a valid and necessary part of professional research and are billed at the standard hourly rate.

Reporting: At the conclusion of the authorized hours, you will receive a formal Research Report detailing all repositories searched, findings (positive and negative), and recommendations for future objectives.
